Round 1 Review – Seniors Start with a Win!

Seniors Start with Win

The Wellers season has kicked off with our 4 teams playing away. The Ressies struggled out at Marcellin on a hot day, however the Seniors came storming home kicking 4 goals to 1 in the final term in an impressive win.

The Unders battled hard out in Carnegie but after a few injuries the boys were unable to hang on. The Women’s team took on the Lightning Premiers Old Geelong who were in good form and unfortunately it was not a good day out for our ladies. However the first 3 rounds are “grading grounds” to determine balanced divisions for the remainder of the season.

Congratulations to Daniel Dick in playing his 50th game for the club in the Ressies.

This week there are no game scheduled due to Easter. I wish all the players and supporters a safe and enjoyable break and look forward to Round 2 on the 22nd April where all teams are again playing away.

Our first home games will be Round 3 on 29th April where we have all 4 teams playing at GBO. We would love to see as many supporters as possible.
